The Cap
d'Antibes is famous for its' exclusive
setting and remains a green and attractive area with many large
houses and expensive hotels. The villa itself is positioned
right near the end of the Cap. Either side of the Cap are the
towns Antibes
and Juan les Pins.
La Garoupe beach is only a few minutes walk away and features
a sandy beach as well as a number of beach restaurants. Leading
from this area is the Smugglers Walk right on the sea edge around
the Cap. Antibes
has a lovely old town to explore with a Provençal market
and numerous restaurants and shops.
Juan les Pins is a more modern lively spot with a Casino and
night clubs. It also has many beaches and restaurants from cafes
to high end establishments.
Further afield but only a 20 minute drive away are Cannes and Nice.
A short ferry ride away are the two small islands off Cannes
(no cars) one with a monastery and vineyard, which are worth
a visit. Inland there are many attractive stone villages to
visit and these include Mougins, Valbonne, Biot and St Paul
de Vence.
About 40 minutes by car or train takes you to Monaco
and the sights of Monte Carlo.
During the summer months many attractions take place, includingJazz Festivals in Juan les Pins
and Nice and firework displays all along the coast.
